Studio Visit - ANK Ceramics

This season, the DEMYLEE design team traveled to Lincolnville, Maine for an intimate studio visit to spend time with founder and ceramicist Ariela Kuh and experience her artistic workspace and environment. There we learned about her process and how she got in to ceramics from painting, which is evident in her use of colors, glazes, and shapes. 

Ariela's pieces are turned on the wheel or hand-built, trimmed, sanded, and fired in an electric kiln. Glazes are mixed in small batches to allow ultimate control and specificity of finish and may vary from batch to batch.

Each piece has been hand selected by DEMYLEE and Ariela to create a small collection that stands in harmony with the Prefall 2019 collection. The works evoke both historical atmosphere as well as a modernity that will add to any home.
